Indiana Artisan says this year’s Indiana Artisan Marketplace, which runs April 7-8 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, will include a new gallery exhibit.
Organizers say more than 100 artisans from Indiana and Kentucky will showcase their art and food at the marketplace. The gallery exhibit will run concurrently with the marketplace.
Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman launched Indiana Artisan in 2008 in an effort to spark tourism and economic development by selecting artists and artisans to represent the state through arts, food and wine. Since then, more than 200 artisans have joined the program, ranging from painters, woodworkers, jewelry designers and weavers to beekeepers, winemakers and cheesemakers.
