The Hoosier state is being recognized on Chief Executive’s 2019 Best & Worst States For Business list. Chief executive officers surveyed for the annual list, rank Indiana fifth, calling it a “top state for manufacturing, agriculture and logistics.”
To compile the list, the website considered workforce growth, economic development companies, incentives, testimonials and state programs.
Recognized on the list were Indiana’s eight fortune 500 companies:
- Eli Lilly and Co.
- Steel Dynamics
- Zimmer Biomet Holdings
- Berry Global Group
- Simon Property Group
- Thor Industries
Testimonials from business leaders talked the state up with Ravi Kumar, president of Infosys discussing why the company brought their new U.S Education center to Indianapolis and Anthony Cooper, vice president of engineering at Green Cubes Technology explaining what keeps the company expanding in Kokomo:
