The South Bend International Airport is set to receive more than $9.2 million and the Columbus Municipal Airport will get nearly $2.5 million.
“Investments in infrastructure are important to our economy and to the safe transportation of people and goods,” said U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN) “Funding for these infrastructure projects will help advance my goals of ensuring that the airports in South Bend and Columbus can continue to effectively serve travelers and businesses in their respective regions.”
The funding to South Bend’s airport will be used to reconstruct a taxiway and Columbus will use its funding to install perimeter fencing around the airport.
