The event is set to take place during the Brickyard 400 weekend.
IMS President Doug Boles, USAC Chief Executive Officer Kevin Miller and NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will be on hand for the announcement. IMS says it will include the date of the event, the title sponsor and more.
RACER reports the event will be a USAC dirt track race located inside turn 3 of the famed oval. IMS built a dirt track at that location before Brickyard weekend in 2016 in honor of former IndyCar and NASCAR champion Tony Stewart’s final race at the Speedway.
