Feinberg spent the past 23 years at ESPN, most recently serving as vice president of production.
During his time at ESPN, Feinberg was responsible for all aspects of live video production for the ESPY Awards, NASCAR, NHRA, Verizon IndyCar Series, Winter X Games, X Games and professional tennis. IMS Productions says in his new role, Feinberg will help to strengthen the company’s market share and diversify its sports and live entertainment event broadcast coverage.
"Rich has done an outstanding job overseeing the broadcast of sports and entertainment events over the course of his 32 year career," said Robby Greene, president of IMS Productions. "He’s an exceptional leader with a keen sense of telling a compelling story to the sports fan. His attention to detail and level of client service will be a welcome addition to the elite group of professionals we already have on our team. As IMS Productions grows and evolves, Rich is the ideal candidate to expand and guide our content and live sports and entertainment productions to the next level."
One of Feinberg’s main responsibilities was ESPN’s live production of the Indianapolis 500 from 2006 to 2015. Among his many accomplishments, Feinberg supervised the first HD broadcast of the Indy 500.
"I’m thrilled to join IMS Productions, whom I’ve had the privilege of working with for many years," said Feinberg. "Robby Greene and his team are true professionals, and I look forward to being part of an organization fertile with opportunity for growth and development. Indianapolis Motor Speedway has always been a special place for me, both career-wise and as a fan. Working with IMS Productions, Verizon IndyCar Series, and everyone at the speedway is the perfect next chapter."
