A pharmaceutical research and development company is continuing its growth at the Kurz Purdue Technology Center in West Lafayette.
Improved Pharma says it is investing $400,000 to expand its laboratory and office facilities in response to growing demand for its services.
The larger space, which now encompasses more than 5,500 square feet, represents the company’s fifth expansion at the Purdue center since early 2020. Improved Pharma said the expansion will support its advanced analytical services and formulation capabilities.
The expanded space features two dedicated chemistry labs, two analytical labs, chromatography and microscopy labs, a microspectroscopy lab, and a central meeting room and three private office spaces. It also includes a secure, climate-controlled sample storage room.
“Customer demand drives our growth,” Chief Operating Officer Pamela Smith said in a news release. “We are continuously investing in our infrastructure and expanding our in-house capabilities. This expansion allows us to continue pushing the boundaries of pharmaceutical analysis and formulation.”
Improved Pharma currently employs 14 people in West Lafayette, and the investment will support the addition of one more employee in the next few weeks.
The company was founded in 2006 and provides a variety of services for pharmaceutical clients, including solid-state form studies, formulation design and analytical testing.
