Indianapolis Metropolitan Department Police Chief Chief Bryan Roach has appointed Catherine Cummings major of the Criminal Investigations Division. She replaces Harold (Steve) Turner who will return to night watch to serve as commander. Cummings is a 20-year veteran, most recently serving as executive officer of the administration division. Over his career, Major Turner has built connections with residents as the LGBTQ Liaison and served in roles ranging from District Shift Lieutenant to Professional Standards Commander.
