A production machining company in Columbia City is planning to expand operations. Impact CNC LLC will invest $2.1 million in new machinery and add a small number of jobs in the Whitley County city.
The company has two facilities in Columbia City and currently employs 78 workers. Impact CNC is currently hiring for the new positions at its website.
"We are very excited to be growing in such a great community," said Jerry Busche, owner of Impact CNC. "We will continue to invest in these plants because of the excellent workforce and the business friendly environment that the City and Whitley County have to offer."
The city has approved a 10-year tax abatement for the expansion at the request of the Whitley County Economic Development Corp. Columbia City Mayor Ryan Daniel expressed his support of the company’s expansion plans, saying, "With the help of Impact CNC, Columbia City is continually focused on growing our economy and providing a community that succeeds. We are truly building a future together."
