The online delivery service says the more than $5 million investment would result in over 230 new jobs by 2018. The company says the expansion would also allow it to retain 15 Marion County delivery drivers that would be incorporated into the new facility. The center would serve customers throughout central Indiana. Distribution is currently handled by a Lake Zurich, Illinois operation and a small cross dock facility in Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission is scheduled to hear the request at its Wednesday meeting. If approved, it would likely come up for a final vote on June 18.
