IEDC Promotes Two Execs

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Economic Development Corp. has promoted two executives to lead business development efforts for the state. Rollie Helmling has been named vice president of domestic business development and Dale Buuck has been promoted to vice president of international business development.
Helmling has been with the IEDC since 2008, leading business development in the automotive, aviation and motorsports industries. He previously served as chief executive officer of the Indianapolis-based United States Auto Club. In his new role, he will manage the IEDC’s regional offices and oversee economic development efforts to attract new business to Indiana from throughout the United States. He holds degrees from Vincennes University and Indiana University.
Buuck joined the IEDC in 2015 as senior director of business development. Before joining the IEDC, he was vice president of business development at the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, and held various positions at companies including Magnavox and Raytheon Corp. The Ball State University and University of St. Francis graduate will oversee the IEDC’s offices in China, Europe and Japan and be responsible for strengthening Indiana’s economic relations outside the United States.
Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith says the promotions come at "both an exciting and crucial time to dedicate time and resources to advancing economic development across the state."
