The Indiana Department of Education has released preliminary results of the 2016 spring IREAD-3 test. The department says 83.8 percent of students passed the exam, down from 84.2 percent last year.

The official results will be finalized after the summer retest period. The IDOE says at that time, data at the school and corporation level will be released as well.
