Ice Miller LLP Director of Agribusiness Strategies Beth Bechdol, has received the Indiana State Department of Agriculture’s AgriVision Award. The award was presented during the Lieutenant Governor’s Celebration of Agriculture at the Indiana State Fair.

She is responsible for coordinating and managing the firm’s Agribusiness Group team and services. Bechdol is president and CEO of AgriNovus Indiana and served as president of the Agribusiness Council of Indiana from July 2010 through January 2017.

She is the former deputy director of the first-ever ISDA, where she played an integral role in establishing the agency and crafting Indiana’s agriculture strategic plan developed by then-Governor Daniels. Bechdol was directly involved in ISDA’s international trade and investment activities through participation in then-Gov. Daniels’ four trade missions and coordination of then- Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman’s two agricultural trade missions.

The ISDA established the AgriVision Award to recognize one Hoosier for his or her contribution to agriculture and Indiana. Currently in its 11th year, the AgriVision Award is open to any Indiana resident and all sectors of agriculture—from bioenergy to livestock to trade. It was specifically created to honor an individual who has reshaped Indiana agriculture through his or her visionary ideas in innovation, technology and/or agribusiness.
