Indianapolis-based Ice Miller has added Jessa DeGroote as an attorney in the firm’s litigation group. She most recently served as a litigation associate with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York.

DeGroote represented a global financial institution in defense against multi-billion-dollar actions related to the Madoff fraud and the bankruptcy of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities. 

She has also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kent A. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for the Honorable C. Darnell Jones, II of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
