A statewide economic development organization has a new identity. The Indiana Association for Community Economic Development has rebranded as Prosperity Indiana. The organization launched the new brand as part of its 30th anniversary celebration.
The effort received funding support from Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc.
Executive Director Andy Frazier says "for 30 years, IACED’s work has meant focusing on the key assets of local people mobilizing collective action to advance local places and our state. The new brand embodies a more authentic and approachable way to convey our vision and work."
The announcement came lats week during the organization’s annual ceremony and anniversary luncheon. Communications Committee Chair Rachel McIntosh serves as vice president of PNC Community Development Banking and led the rebanding initiative. She said "community economic development is and always has been about prosperity development that focuses on people, places, and opportunity. Prosperity Indiana’s work champions this convergence. The new brand calls all Hoosier neighbors to engage in creating vibrant places and resilient families."
