Indianapolis-based Hylant Group Inc. is expanding its Indiana footprint. The insurance brokerage firm says it plans to bring additional education and resources for young people in Evansville.
Hylant says it met with businesses and leaders in Evansville and found health costs were a major concern within the community. The company says it is now building plans for community-wide youth education, in partnership with local schools, healthcare organizations and businesses.
“We don’t want to be just another business that works in Evansville,” said David Norris, president of Hylant Indianapolis. “We want to invest in Evansville and become a true partner in the community. Educating the next generation of thinkers, managers, creatives and leaders is every generation’s responsibility. We want to work hard to improve the future of our communities, and we believe the right healthcare and lifestyle programs in place will do exactly that.”
Hylant says it hired it first Evansville-based employee in January.
The firm has 16 offices throughout Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia.
