Fishers-based Service Plus is planning to relocate and double its work force over the next three years. The heating, cooling and plumbing company says it will add 30 employees as part of its $1.5 million investment that includes a new home office in Indianapolis.

The new facility, the company says, will house office and field workers, equipment and training space. "It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find young people eager to enter the building trades, which is a shame because they’re missing out on great salaries and developing skills that could take them around the world," said owner Chris Cunningham. He says the company will look to partner with the education and business communities on classes to skill up veterans and other potential employees.

Service Plus was founded in 2000 and pays its service technicians between $15 and $30 per hour.
