Our partners at Network Indiana/WIBC report members of the Senate want a clause restored that would limit transit expansion to bus service.
House sponsor Jerry Torr says government and business leaders in Marion and Hamilton counties strongly support the House bill, even though it would lead to a local income tax hike.
The potential expansion of bus service would also extend into Johnson and Hancock counties.
