Hotel Tango Earns International Medals The distillery's Mike Moonshine earned a gold medal.

Indianapolis-based Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery has won several medals at the Denver International Spirits Competition. Last month’s event involved entries from 350 establishments throughout the world.

The distillery says its Mike Moonshine earned a gold medal, with Romeo Rum receiving a silver medal and Lima Charlie Limoncello earning a bronze medal. Co-founder Brian Wilsey says he is "honored to have our work recognized by our peers in such a high level of competition."

The entries were judged by a panel of 20 experts based on categories including appearance, aroma, taste and finish.

The medals mark the latest recognition for the service-disabled, combat veteran-owned distillery. Hotel Tango won Indiana Distillery of the Year last year in the New York International Spirits Competition.
