INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann will be joined by Mark Newman, executive director of the Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD) to present the 2014 Lieutenant Governor’s Hoosier Hospitality Awards on Friday. The awards recognize exceptional service by front-line employees in tourism-related jobs at hotels, restaurants, attractions and other destinations. The ceremony will take place in the Indiana Farm Bureau at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
During the ceremony, Ellspermann will also present the Will Koch Indiana Tourism Leadership. The award is named after the late Will Koch, long-time owner and president of Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. Winners of the honor are recognized for outstanding accomplishments in economic and community development through tourism. The award is the state’s highest tourism honor.
