Horseshoe Southern Indiana in Elizabeth has announced plans for a $13 million renovation. The hotel and casino says the effort, which will begin November 28, will cover all 503 guest rooms and suites, as well as the hotel lobby.

Horseshoe says the hotel will remain fully operational during the renovation. The project will include new furniture, carpet and room amenities. The hotel says the goal of the renovation is to provide "a sense of comfort, with some of the modern conveniences travelers look for when they are away from home."

"We are excited about the renovation," said Brad Siegel, general manager of Horseshoe Southern Indiana. "These innovative new rooms will perfectly complement Horseshoe’s casino, dining and entertainment offerings. "This is an exciting time for Horseshoe Southern Indiana and we look forward to the future."

The renovation project is scheduled to be complete in April 2017.
