The league’s board of directors said the decision was guided by its “core value of student-athlete well-being and considering further developments in the outbreak.”
This decision impacts all Horizon League sports that compete in the fall including men’s and women’s cross country, soccer, golf and tennis, as well as baseball, softball and volleyball.
The 12-school league said its leadership will determine if these sports season will take place this spring. The league says individual institutions will decide what to do about training, practice and recruiting.
