Michigan City-based Horizon Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq GS: HBNC) has named Thomas Prame president of the company and its subsidiary, Horizon Bank. Prame most recently served in an executive role for Chicago-based First Midwest Bancorp, which merged with Old National Bancorp in Evansville this spring.
Horizon Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Craig Dwight says Prame represents a step in the banking company’s strategic expansion.
“Thomas brings extensive strategic leadership and digital technology experience along with a deep understanding of our local markets that will enable Horizon to continue serving the growing numbers of consumers and businesses in Indiana, Michigan and throughout the Midwest,” said Dwight.
Prame was executive vice president and CEO of First Midwest’ community banking division. He’s held senior banking positions at four other institutions.
Prame earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He begins August 15.
