Stadium Journey Magazine’s annual list of Top 100 Stadium Experiences in the United States and Canada includes several sites in Indiana. Compton Family Ice Arena, the home of University of Notre Dame Hockey, ranked highest among Hoosier venues.

The arena was ranked at number six. Fort Wayne’s Parkview Field, home of the TinCaps, was ranked ninth, followed by Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at tenth. Notre Dame got another mention, with Notre Dame Stadium being listed at number 13.

"The new ice and the new $50 million facility are both immaculate, and you can certainly add a trip to Compton Family Ice Arena to your must see list if you are a fan of college hockey," the magazine said. "In fact, it may very well be possible to see a football game at Notre Dame Stadium as well as a hockey game in the same day."

The latest edition of Stadium Journey’s list considered venues from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NASCAR and NCAA. The ratings take into account food and beverages served at the stadium, overall atmosphere, the neighborhood where the stadium is located, fans, access, the overall return on investment, and one final “extras” category.

Parkview Field is featured on the cover of the magazine. Last year, the field was ranked tenth on the list.

“Knowing that Stadium Journey has reviewed more than 2,300 venues all over the place, this is incredible recognition not only for the TinCaps but for our entire region,” said TinCaps President Mike Nutter. “While those of us at Parkview Field certainly appreciate the honor, we’re also motivated to work our hardest to be even better next year.”
