Hoosier Schools Among Top Military Friendly Universities
Twelve Indiana schools are being recognized on VIQTORY’s Military Friendly School list for 2020-2021. The organization uses survey data to identify institutions that support service members, veterans and their families in obtaining a degree.
The Military Friendly School designation is granted based on public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the schools.
The organization considers schools of all types for the designation, including traditional four-year colleges and universities (both public and private), community colleges, online degree programs, graduate schools and specialized vocational/trade schools.
More than 1,000 schools participated in the 2020-2021 survey, with 625 schools earning the designation from every state in the country.
The Hoosier schools that made the list include:
- Ball State Online
- Ball State University
- Calumet College Of St. Joseph
- Indiana Institute of Technology
- Mid-America College Of Funeral Service
- MyComputerCareer, Indianapolis
- Oakland City University
- Valparaiso University
- Purdue University Northwest
- Purdue University Fort Wayne
- University of Indianapolis
- Vincennes University
“To once again be included among the most military-friendly schools is a great honor. VU’s official commitment since 1986 to our active duty and veteran military personnel reflects this recognition. We are proud of the many military students VU works with from coast to coast, and the VU employees who serve them daily,” said Vincennes University President Chuck Johnson.
