Warsaw-based OrthoPediatrics Corp. has made inroads in a key international market. The company has entered into a distribution agreement with Japan-based, privately-held Robert Reid Inc. and received regulatory approval to sell its RESPONSE Spine System in the Asian nation.
The product was launched in the U.S. in 2015 and is now available for pediatric and adult patients in Japan.
Executive Vice President Dave Bailey says "our expansion into the Japanese market, and subsequent partnership with Robert Reid represents OrthoPediatrics’ commitment to being the end-to-end provider of pediatric orthopedics solutions around the globe. Our ability to partner with world-class distributors and their customers, along with our growing portfolio distinguishes OP as the orthopedic company with the broadest reach and most innovative product line in our industry."
The company, which was founded in 2006, says it currently markets 17 surgical systems.
