An Indianapolis-based manufacturer of ulcer treatment products has expanded to China. EHOB Inc. has opened an office in Shanghai, which includes a small number of sales and light assembly employees. September 24, 2014

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 23, 2014) – EHOB, a leading provider of affordable products effective in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, announces today the opening of its first international office in China. Located in Shanghai, the 9,000 square-foot office is currently home to sales and operations employees and used for light assembly of its WAFFLE Brand Products. EHOB has hired seven employees in China and plans to expand as the demand is needed.

EHOB set its targets on China in 2010, beginning with in-depth market research to gauge the market's position and demand for its wound care products. Since then, EHOB's presence and staff has continued to grow as it looks to aid and impact the world's largest country's wound care market. In addition to selling product, EHOB is continuing its clinical mission of education. To date, EHOB's clinical consultants and executive team have helped train nearly 15,000 nurses across 300 hospitals in China on wound care best practices.

“When we first entered the Chinese market, it was apparent EHOB could help transform the country's wound care practices that were decades behind those in the U.S.,” said Scott Rogers, president and COO of EHOB. “Given the country's sheer size, the amount of healthcare facilities and patients is significant and only increasing as its population ages. We look forward to continuing our expansion and training to ensure EHOB has a positive impact on patient care in China.”

Founded and headquartered in Indianapolis since 1985, EHOB's WAFFLE Brand Products are now sold throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and China. WAFFLE Brand Products have been used effectively for pressure ulcer prevention and healing therapy for nearly thirty years. The company's special interest in soft tissue research, education and product development has helped it become a leading innovator of affordable products effective in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

EHOB offers a number of products for pressure ulcer prevention and treatment, including mattress overlays, seating cushions, day chair pads, lower-limb protectors, positioning aids and more. Thousands of hospitals, nursing homes and home caregivers rely on EHOB's support surfaces. To learn more about EHOB and its product offering, visit http://www.ehob.com.
