The Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will honor Hoosier business leaders Tuesday during its annual Visionary Awards luncheon. Winners will be announced for categories including Avatar of the Year, Member of the Year and Business Owner of the Year. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-Indy) honor women business owners and their advocates at its annual Visionary Awards Luncheon.

WHAT: The highlight of the annual luncheon will be the announcement of the 2013 NAWBO-Indy Visionary Award recipients. Four individuals will be honored for their achievements as business owners and leaders in the community in the categories of Avatar of the Year, Indianapolis Choice, Member of the Year, and Woman Business Owner of the Year.

Award presenters will include:

-Jennifer Pope Baker, Executive Director, Women's Fund of Central Indiana

-Diane Cruz Burke, Assistant General Counsel, Eli Lilly and Company

-Marianne Glick, President and Owner, GlickArt

-Debbie Hearn Smith, CEO, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana

Former entrepreneur and current Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann will highlight the accomplishments of women business owners in the state of Indiana. Mayor Greg Ballard will present a city welcome focusing on the impact of women business owners in Indianapolis. Ericka Flye, WRTV 6 and Gerry Dick, Inside INdiana Business will be this year's co-emcees.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 17, The event begins with exhibits and networking from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., with lunch beginning promptly at 11:15 a.m.
