Four Indiana hospitals are on a list of the 100 top hospitals in the U.S. Michigan-based Truven Health Analytics Inc. uses 11 measures, including inpatient outcomes, financial health and patient health.

Others include process of care, extended outcomes, process efficiency and cost efficiency.

Performance of Indiana hospitals was among the best in any state. Regionally, it joined Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin as being in the top quintile of performance last year.

The Indiana hospitals on the list are:

Teaching Hospitals

Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne (two years running)

Franciscan St. Francis Health – Indianapolis (three years running)

Medium Community Hospitals

Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne (three years running)

Small Community Hospitals

Parkview Huntington Hospital (four years running)
