A joint initiative between the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability: IN includes two Indiana-based companies on its list of the "Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion." The list is based on companies’ scores on the Disability Equality Index.
Evansville-based Old National Bancorp (Nasdaq: ONB) and Indianapolis-based Anthem Inc. (NYSE: ANTM) each received the top score of 100 percent on the DEI. The index measures performance indicators in organizational culture, leadership, accessibility, employment, community engagement, support services, and supplier diversity.
This is the first year for Old National to be included on the list and the third year for Anthem, which also received a 100 percent score on its previous two appearances.
"Old National is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where associates of all abilities and backgrounds feel supported, engaged, valued and respected and are able to reach their highest potential," said Bob Jones, chief executive officer of Old National. "Our associates are our strongest asset and this rich culture of diversity is the cornerstone of our success."
Some of the other companies that received a 100 percent score include Walmart, Delta Airlines, Capital One and The Walt Disney Co. You can view the full list by clicking here.
