Hoosier Companies Among Top For Diversity

Subscribe NowThree Indiana-based companies are included in DiversityInc magazine’s 2018 list of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity. The publication ranks the companies based on the results of a more than 200-question survey, which assesses each company in key areas such as talent pipeline and supplier diversity.
The annual list recognizes companies for diversity and inclusion management, including hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, veterans and people in the LGBT community.
Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) ranks the highest among Hoosier companies at number six, followed by Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) at 12 and Anthem Inc. (NYSE: ANTM) at 20.
"The more we grow and expand globally, the more important it is that we attract and develop employees from around the world who have the knowledge and skills to work effectively in the markets in which we do business," said Kelley Bertoux Creveling, executive director of global diversity and right environment at Cummins. "We’re at our best when we fully include those unique perspectives, experiences and languages – truly leveraging the power of diversity and inclusion."
