Three Indiana-based companies are among DiversityInc’s "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" list. The list includes Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), along with Anthem Inc. (NYSE: ANTM) and Eli Lilly & Co. (NYSE: LLY) in Indianapolis.

Cummins was the highest-ranked Indiana company at number 19. Anthem and Lilly were ranked at numbers 25 and 26, respectively.

The rankings are determined by a survey of more than 1,800 companies. The publication says the companies are assessed on their performance in four key areas of diversity management: talent pipeline, equitable talent development, CEO/leadership commitment, and supplier diversity.
