Hoosier Companies Among ‘Most Ethical’
Three Indiana companies are included on New York-based Ethisphere Institute’s list of the "2019 World’s Most Ethical Companies." The institute says the companies included on the list are being recognized for "exemplifying and advancing corporate citizenship, transparency and the standards of integrity."
Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) and Old National Bancorp (Nasdaq: ONB) are the Indiana representatives on the list. Each company has been on the list previously, with Cummins leading the pack by being included every year since 2008.
This is the third consecutive year on the list for Lilly and the eighth for Old National.
"As I reflect on the many things our Old National family has accomplished over my last 14 years as CEO, our unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity tops the list," said Old National Chief Executive Officer Bob Jones, who is retiring in May. "I’m grateful to our associates for their hard work and dedication in making OId National a world leader in this important category once again."
Two companies who were included on the list last year, Indianapolis-based Anthem Inc. (NYSE: ANTM) and Merrillville-based NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI), did not make the cut this year. You can view the full list by clicking here.
