Hoosier Companies Among ‘Best and Brightest’

Subscribe NowTwo Indiana companies are among more than 500 selected by the National Association for Business Resources as the 2018 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation. The winners were chosen by an independent research firm from more than 2,400 nominations.
La Porte-based American Licorice Co. and Merrillville-based Monosol LLC are the Indiana representatives on the list. The award honors companies that "display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment."
The NABR says companies are assessed on a variety of categories, such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention.
"Receiving this award validates the hard work that American Licorice Company does to ensure we positively impact our Associates," said Karen Kopka, senior human resources manager of American Licorice Co. "It honors our mission statement of ‘Investing in Happiness: People, Community and Environment’ and we truly give thanks to all of our Associates who make this such an amazing place to be!"
The honorees will receive their award at the National Best and Brightest Summit, which will be held in Chicago in September.
