Major League Baseball will hold its All-Star Game Tuesday evening in San Diego, however two Indiana cities will this week host their own groups of all-stars. The Midwest Collegiate League All-Star game will take place Tuesday in Whiting and the Prospect League will hold its All-Star game Wednesday at Municipal Stadium in Kokomo.

The MCL All-Star game will be held at the home of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen, Oil City Stadium at 7:20. The game will also feature representatives from Indiana’s other team in the league, the Michigan City Lakers.

The Prospect League will hold its annual Home Run Derby Tuesday, beginning at 7:05 at Municipal Stadium. The All-Star game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.

Kokomo was announced in October as the host of the 2016 All-Star game for the Prospect League. Kokomo’s Municipal Stadium was recently named "Best Summer-Collegiate Ballpark" by Ballpark Digest for the second consecutive year.
