‘Best And Worst-Run’ Ranks Hoosier Cities

The list compares 150 of the most populated cities across several categories, including financial stability, education and economy.
Fort Wayne is ranked the highest among Indiana communities at number 18. Gary is included on the list at number 61, followed by Indianapolis at number 85.
WalletHub also considered health, safety, and infrastructure and pollution as categories to determine the list. The categories were further broken down into 35 metrics, each of which was graded on a 100-point scale. You can view the full methodology by clicking here.
The top five cities on the list are Nampa, Idaho; Provo, Utah; Boise, Idaho; Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky; and Missoula, Montana. The bottom five cities are Washington, D.C.; Detroit, Michigan; New York City; San Francisco, California; and Gulfport, Mississippi.
