Nick Popovich, owner and founder of Valparaiso-based Sage-Popovich Inc., was nominated to become a "Living Legend of Aviation." The award is one of the highest national distinctions found throughout the aviation industry. He will join the ranks of other legendary pilots and celebrities such as Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Jimmy Buffet, Harrison Ford and Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger. Popovich currently has the longest-running aviation repossession company in the world with over 1,700 repossessions conducted and has grown his operations into the world’s leader in recovery of aviation equipment.  He is also a partner in 600 Charter Brokerage, an aviation charter brokerage firm that specializes in all types of aircraft travel from helicopters to jumbo jets.
