Home Sales Jump Double Digits in Central Indiana

F.C. Tucker Co. says pended home sales in central Indiana increased 10.5 percent last month, compared to November of last year. The average year-to-date home price also rose nearly 6 percent in the 15-county region to $199,302.
Of the counties tracked by F.C. Tucker, nine saw an increase in home sales last month with Brown and Montgomery counties seeing the largest jumps at 100 and 33.3 percent, respectively.
"Another substantial sales increase puts the Central Indiana housing market in a good position as we approach the end of 2017," said Jim Litten, chief executive officer of F.C. Tucker Co. “Despite a competitive sales environment, buyers are finding homes at reasonable price points.”
F.C. Tucker says the number of active listings dropped 21 percent in November to 7,259. Putnam County saw the biggest drop in active listings at 36.2 percent, while Jennings and Madison counties each fell 31.9 percent.
