Indianapolis, Ind. — Home Health Depot, Inc. (www.hhdepot.com) announced today that it has sold its Custom Wheelchair and Seating Division to National Seating & Mobility (NSM), a national provider of complex mobility products. As part of the divestiture, 65 Home Health Depot (HHD) employees located in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Texas will join NSM. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
HHD's Complex Rehab Mobility Division has been recognized nationally. In 2013, HME News named HHD the best complex rehabilitation technology provider in the nation. In announcing the acquisition, NSM CEO Mike Ballard stated: “This is an excellent addition for us. HHD is a respected presence in our industry, with an exceptional staff and reputation. The HHD team is a perfect complement to our mission.”
HHD's CEO, David Hartley added: “We are proud of the incredible complex rehab team we have assembled and the service we have provided to our complex rehab patients over the past decade. NSM will continue the tradition of top notch service. There couldn’t be a better fit for our seating and mobility team.”
This divestiture by HHD will allow HHD to further focus on its growing complex respiratory operations and hospice medical equipment services. HHD is the largest Indiana based provider of complex respiratory equipment, including invasive and non-invasive ventilators for pediatric and adult patients, in-home oxygen concentrators and CPAP and BiPAP machines for treating sleep apnea. Founded in 1998, HHD will also continue to provide standard durable medical equipment to patients through its hospital partnerships and retail stores located throughout Indiana.
Home Health Depot's President, Nathan Feltman, commented: “We are excited about refining our focus on our respiratory and hospice divisions. Our number one goal is to provide the highest quality of care and service to our patients. Today's announcement solidifies our commitment to the patients we serve and our hospital and hospice partners.”
