Holy Cross to Dedicate New Dorm, Green Space
Holy Cross College in Notre Dame will dedicate a new dorm and a three-acre green space at the center of campus Thursday. The newly-constructed North Hall is a women’s residence hall that houses 68 students. The school says the building will increase on-campus housing by 30 percent.
Meanwhile, O’Connor Commons officially opened before the 2015-2016 school year.
“With its unadorned interior – lacking fountains, statues, or structures – the O’Connor Commons reflects the college’s functionality: informal, inviting, welcoming, and easily accessible,” said Kelly Jordan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.
Holy Cross says it has also added new basketball, beach volleyball and regulation dodge ball courts near the Pfeil Recreation Center.
The dedication ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
