Holy Cross College at Notre Dame is reporting record fall enrollment. The college says 603 students registered, making it the highest enrollment in the school’s 49-year history. Holy Cross says 56% of the students are from Indiana, while 44% are from out-of-state. Holy Cross says the previous enrollment record was set in the fall of 2001 with 557 students.
School officials say due to the growth and a freshman residence requirement, on-campus housing is near capacity. They say even with the completion of the schools new residence hall, Holy Cross is offering off-campus residency to more than 40 students at University Edge Apartments.
