By Alex Brown
Holcomb to Celebrate Chinese Sister State Holcomb says the Regional Cities Initiative is part of his administration's agenda.

Governor Eric Holcomb and officials from the Zhejiang Province in China will Thursday celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Indiana-Zhejiang sister-state relationship. The event at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis will also feature an exhibition highlighting the Chinese province’s culture and tourist destinations.

Holcomb’s office says the sister-state relationship is "focused on advancing economic growth, stimulating innovation and sharing educational and cultural practices by strengthening global cooperation." Several international organizations such as the America China Society of Indiana and the International Center, along with businesses, economic development groups and universities from Indiana and Zhejiang will also be on hand.

The program is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Wabash Room in the convention center. There will also be a business matchmaking and networking portion.

Indiana’s sister-state relationship with Zhejiang was renewed in 2015 by then-Governor Mike Pence.
