Holcomb Makes Personnel Appointments

Governor-elect Eric Holcomb has announced several personnel appointments. The appointees will begin their new positions, which include deputy chief of staff and head of the Indiana National Guard, January 7.
Holcomb has selected Micah Vincent to serve as director of the Office of Management and Budget, a position he held under Governor Mike Pence. He has also served as the OMB’s general counsel and policy director.
Danny Lopez has been named deputy chief of staff. He currently serves as chief of staff for Holcomb as lieutenant governor and previously served as state director for Senator Dan Coats (R-IN). Lopez has also served in the administrations of Governors Pence and Mitch Daniels.
"In role after role in the public and private sectors, Danny has demonstrated a capacity for leadership and consensus-building," said Holcomb. "He has guided my team in the Lieutenant Governor’s office through an unprecedented series of changes this year, and his experience will be central to ensuring that my administration is truly delivering great government at a great taxpayer value."
Maj. Gen. Courtney Carr has been selected to continue to serve as Adjutant General of the Indiana National Guard, having been previously appointed to the role by Pence. Holcomb says Carr has embodied the "long and proud tradition of a strong National Guard."
Holcomb has also appointed former state representative Carolene Mays-Medley executive director of White River State Park. In April, Pence tapped Mays-Medley to serve as executive director of the White River State Park Development Commission. She has also served as a commissioner and vice chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
