The governor’s recently-released legislative agenda involves "Five Pillars," which focus on issues including transportation, work force development and education initiatives.
The presentation in the House chamber follows his inauguration last week and subsequent releases of his legislative agenda and biennial budget proposal.
His biennial budget proposal reflects the same message and includes requests for continuation of the high-profile Regional Cities Initiative, $20 million in funding for the $350 million Indiana Biosciences Research Institute and up to $5 million per year to boost international flight-attraction efforts at Hoosier airports. Holcomb is also targeting hundreds of millions to fund a 20-year road and bridge infrastructure package.
The full legislature, top state leaders and all members of the Indiana Supreme Court are expected to be in attendance at the event, which will be streamed live online at 7 p.m. EST.
