Holcomb Appoints Intergovernmental Relations Director

Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb has appointed Greg Wilson to serve as intergovernmental relations director. In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for sustaining and growing engagement efforts with local elected officials and community leaders.

Wilson most recently served on the cabinet of former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard as director of the Department of Minority and Women’s Business Development. He is also the chairman of the Indiana Black Expo, a board member of Visit Indy and partner with the Indianapolis 10 Point Coalition.

"We are thrilled to welcome Greg to the Lt. Governor’s team," said Holcomb. "Given his extensive experience in city government and his important role as a community leader, he understands the issues that our mayors, town councils and other local officials face each day. As a member of Mayor Ballard’s cabinet, he was senior advisor on economic issues and worked closely with veteran-owned and minority small businesses throughout central Indiana."

Holcomb called Wilson a "true servant leader" whose experiences in the public and private sectors will be valuable.

The Lt. Governor’s office says Wilson, a veteran of the U.S. Army, is also the founder of a nonprofit, inner city horseback riding program aimed at developing life skills for vulnerable children in central Indiana.
