Holcomb Appointments Continue

Governor-elect Eric Holcomb is continuing to add to his administration. His most recent round of appointments include Lori Torres as Inspector General and Jennifer Walthall as secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration.
Torres currently serves as chief legal counsel and deputy commissioner for the Indiana Department of Transportation. She previously served as the Indiana Commissioner of Labor under former Governor Mitch Daniels.
"Accountability is an integral part of providing good government at a great taxpayer value," said Holcomb. "With Lori’s vast legal and ethical experience and her proven leadership abilities, she will serve Indiana well as Inspector General."
Walthall is currently serving as deputy health commissioner for the Indiana State Department of Health. She has also served as division chief of pediatric emergency medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and an associate professor of clinical emergency medicine and pediatrics.
"Jennifer has extensive experience in the fields of public health and medicine," said Holcomb. "Her knowledge and expertise will bring a depth of understanding to the complexity of family and social services and I look forward to working with her in this role."
Holcomb has also named Cynthia Carrasco as deputy general counsel for the office of the governor. Carrasco has served as inspector general for the state since 2015 when she was appointed by Governor Mike Pence. She has previously served as executive director of the Office of the Inspector General and the Indiana State Ethics Commission.
