Hogsett Set For Campaign Announcement

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will Wednesday make what is expected to be a re-election announcement. The first-term Democrat is set to give the announcement from the Phoenix Theatre in downtown Indy.

Hogsett’s office and all 25 seats on the Indianapolis City-County Council will be on the ballot next year. Our partners at WTHR-TV report the only declared candidate for the mayoral seat is Republican Christopher Moore, a dump truck driver in Indianapolis. State Senator Jim Merritt (R-31) is also considering a run for mayor.

Hogsett is scheduled to make his announcement at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
