Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will Monday join officials from the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township to detail a new partnership. The mayor’s office says the partnership will focus on workforce development and improving neighborhood quality of life on the city’s west side.

The announcement will specifically deal with the district’s adult education programs, as well as the Area 31 student construction vocational program, which aims to provide students with hands-on learning and real-world work experience. The announcement will take place at one of the homes recently built through the program.

The mayor will be joined by Wayne Township Schools Superintendent Jeff Butts and other officials for the announcement, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
