Hogsett, Genesys to Detail Project Indy Partnership

Mayor Joe Hogsett will join officials from California-based Genesys for an announcement regarding Project Indy. The mayor’s office says the announcement will detail a partnership to celebrate workforce diversity and provide employment opportunities for Indianapolis youth.
Project Indy is the mayor’s youth jobs initiative and Hogett’s office says the partnership will further a commitment to the development and retention of a diverse talent pipeline shared by the city and Genesys. The initiative marked the beginning of its third year in January.
Hogsett will be joined at the announcement by Genesys Vice President of Corporate Affairs Todd Pederson, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee Executive Director Beth White, Indianapolis Office of Women and Minority Business Development Director Camille Blunt and Indy Chamber Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs Tim Brown.
The announcement will take place at the Genesys campus at Woodland Corporate Park on the city’s northwest side. Genesys acquired Indianapolis-based Interactive Intelligence Group Inc. in a $1.4 billion deal that closed in December 2016.
