Mayor Joe Hogsett has appointed Army Captain Matthew Hall veterans services officer. He serves as a civil affairs team leader for the United States Army Reserve. Captain Hall will assist Indianapolis veterans in navigating the Department of Veterans Services and identifying assistance and support from private and public partners across the city. He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and provided support as a Guardsman during the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav. Captain Hall started his Army career as an enlisted soldier and became an Infantry Officer in 2004. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 2009, during his second tour of duty. Captain Hall is also the founder and CEO of Azimuth, a national non-profit agency that links veterans with available services.
