Hinkle Project Honored Again

Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse renovation landed the highest honor at the Indy Chamber’s annual Monumental Awards gala. The $36 million project included exterior and locker room improvements and a new center court scoreboard.
The awards ceremony recognizes achievements and contributions in architecture, interior design, development, neighborhood revitalization and innovative use of public space. Indy Chamber Chief Executive Officer says the project brought one of the best college facilities of the last eight decades "into the 21st century in a way that maintains its historical character."
The honor is just the latest recognition for the project. In April, the Hinkle Fieldhouse renovation won the Cook Cup for Outstanding Restoration from Indiana Landmarks.
